Seghesio Old Vine Zinfandel perfectly embodies our family’s goal of Sharing Uncommon Ground as only the finest lots from our oldest vineyards are selected for this composite blend. These vineyards are rare treasures we have farmed over the course of our family’s century as grapegrowers. Although “Old Vine” is often loosely interpreted in the wine industry, our benchmark is fifty years. The average age of the vines producing this wine nears 90 years.
Warm climate fruit delivers a rich mouth feel with sufficient acidity to frame the ripe black raspberry and cherry flavours without losing it’s aromatic freshness.  Deep ruby colour, briary aromas of dark fruit and nuances of anise and orange zest The strength and balance of the fruit from these venerable vines integrates impressive sweet raspberry, cherry fruit, enticing acidity, supple tannins and French oak’s perfumy qualities.
