| The Big House wines were born of the subversive notion that the California climate is more hospitable to the rollicking, sun loving grapes of Mediterranean France, Italy and Spain than some other varieties that we might name (chardonnay, merlot). We have found that by blending, rather than relying upon a single variety, we can create a far more complex, rich wine that elegantly matches a very wide variety of cuisine, from a large stack of pizzas, to BBQ ribs to roast chicken. |
