Mud House Riesling - Marlborough , New Zealand

In 1993 John and Jennifer Joslin sailed into the Marlborough Sounds and tasted their first Marlborough wines.  The quality from this premium wine region so impressed them they purchased land and planted their own vineyard.  The first Mud House wine was released in 1996.  The name Mud House comes from the rammed earth house they have built in the middle of their home vineyard.
The fruit for this wine came from two separate vineyards in the Marlborough region; one in Brancott and one in the Conders Bend area.  The grapes were carefully monitored through maturity, before harvesting at full flavour and ripeness.
Pale gold, this wine shows distinct grapefruit and lime citrus notes, intese lifted floral aromas and hints of apricot, beeswax and honeysuckle.  The palate is full and rih and has a pleasing mouth feel and a smooth lingering funish.

Perfect for drinking now, this Riesling will continue to reward for the next 3-4 years.

Ideally matched with Asian-inspired dishes
