Willunga 100 Viognier - McLaren Vale, Australia

At the heart of the Willunga 100 McLaren Vale vineyards, stands a towering River Red Gum tree that was well over a hundred years old when vineyards were first planted in Australia in the 1840's. Co-existing with this symbol of Australia are Grenache, Shiraz and Cabernet vines, which are ideally suited to the warm maritime climate of the McLaren Vale.
Willunga 100 aims to build on the great Australian tradition of ripe, full bodied wines that embody the qualities that first made Australian wines famous - the character of the grape, vineyard and the winemaker.
Pale straw in colour, this softly dry wine has aromas of gently stewed apricots with hints of citrus fruits.  The palate is fresh and zingy with a lingering finish.
