Willunga 100 Shiraz/Viognier - McLaren Vale, Australia
| At the heart of the Willunga 100 McLaren Vale vineyards, stands a towering River Red Gum tree that was well over a hundred years old when vineyards were first planted in Australia in the 1840's. Co-existing with this symbol of Australia are Grenache, Shiraz and Cabernet vines, which are ideally suited to the warm maritime climate of the McLaren Vale. |

| Willunga 100 aims to build on the great Australian tradition of ripe, full bodied wines that embody the qualities that first made Australian wines famous - the character of the grape, vineyard and the winemaker. | ||
| Deep red purple colour typical of this blend. A lifted nose of violets, blueberry and liquorice combines with a subtle note of musk and apricot from the Viognier. Cedar oak notes add complexity. A full, rich palate is reminiscent of dark fruits and chocolate with a long palate and crisp acidity. At this stage it is expected that the wines will have considerable life but with regional softness to allow early appreciation. |
