Margan Botrytis Semillon - Hunter Valley, Australia

Margan Botrytis Semillon is 100% Hunter Valley Semillon, picked from 40 year old grape vines grown on the red basalt soils of their single vineyard in Broke Fordwich.  These vines produce at 0.5 tonne to the acre.
Their style of dessert wine provides a wonderful balance between the lusciouness of the botrytis affected grapes and the intense fruit characters of the unaffected grapes.
This wine sees no oak.  The high natural acidity of the wine lengthens the flavour and creates a non-cloying luscious style of sweet wine that combines perfectly with any fruit based dessert.
