Deen De Bortoli Vat 5 Botrytis Semillon

The inspiration for the Vat Series came from the early dys when Deen De Bortoli would personally chalk numbers on vats to mark them out.  Vat is the term adopted by early Australian winemakers for the large vessels used to hold the maturing wine before it was ready for bottling.
This sweet white wine is made from Semillon affected by Noble Rot (botrytis cinerea) which imparts luscious, intense flavours of citrus, apricot, and honey.  Oak maturation for 12 months adds complexity  Serve with dessert or a platter of dried fruits, nuts or cheeses.
