Established in 1969 at Maiden Gully near Bendigo, Balgownie Estate has released a Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1972 vintage.
  
The 2005 season was mild to warm with well timed rain that produced balanced wines of intensity and richness.

Balgownie Estate Cabernet Sauvignon displays the elusive combination of varietal definition and rich fruit flavours. The defining characteristics of this wine are elegance, balance and intensity. Balgownie Estate Cabernet Sauvignon has a reputation for being long lived but will also provide immense drinking pleasure on release.

 
If stored under ideal conditions this wine will cellar for 10-15 years.
